Nocs Provisions x Isaiah Scott brand photography

The Birder's Eye

Nocs Provisions makes optics for those passionate about bird watching for all. When they commissioned a brand shoot, I brought in Isaiah Scott. Ike is a Cornell ornithologist, a prominent Black birder, and one of the most compelling voices in a space that still lacks diversity. We spent a full day in the field together, talking birding, moving through landscape, building something that felt less like an ad and more like a portrait of someone's relationship with a place. The product was in the frame. The story was bigger than the product.

Images licensed for 3-year commercial use. Nocs published the work publicly and produced a paid advertisement from the imagery. Isaiah Scott (@isaiahsbirds, 100k+ followers) amplified the work to an engaged outdoor and birding audience.

Making Climate Data Human

Acadia Center is one of the Northeast's leading clean energy think tanks. As senior analyst on the 180 Degrees Consulting engagement, I translated complex emissions data and policy mechanisms into public-facing digital content via an ArcGIS story map built for the people making decisions, not just those who already understood them.

Delivered an interactive ArcGIS story map comparing 2008 vs. 2021 emissions data across northeastern states. Primary recommendations adopted as the organization's digital strategy framework.

AI for Good climate trend scanner
Consulting · AI & Climate Tech · 2023

Building a Climate Trend Scanner

AI for Good is a UN initiative pairing machine learning with global social challenges. Through 180 Degrees Consulting, I worked on two parallel tracks: a content and distribution strategy for Svidok, a war-journalism platform documenting voices from Ukraine, and a category framework for a UN Development Program climate trend scanner — a machine learning tool designed to surface climate innovations in real-time from global media. My work focused on making the scanner's categories legible and prioritized for a public hackathon.

Delivered a 7-criterion scoring framework to evaluate and rank climate scanner categories by feasibility and public relevance. Framework adopted to determine the 10 priority categories for the AI for Good Hackathon. Volunteer outreach strategy designed and implemented, including registration pipeline and eligibility screening.
